FURAMA was established in 1978 by Mr. Tony Suwadie, located at Jalan Hayam Wuruk no. 72 West Jakarta . FURAMA then was better known as FURAMA INTERNATIONAL RESTAURANT, functioning as both restaurant and wedding reception hall. It was famed for its signature Cantonese cuisine and its legendary Teochew night porridge.
In 2006, FURAMA relocated to Jalan Hayam Wuruk no. 45 with a newly updated concept. FURAMA's new establishment incorporates a contemporary elegant design, offering a fresh approach to those looking to enjoy refinement in taste and service.
